You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in the fields of gold
So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold
Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in the fields of gold
See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in the fields of gold
We'll walk in the fields of gold
Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in the fields of gold
When we walked in the fields of gold
When we walked in the fields of gold

"It's better to have loved and lost then never had loved at all" - Anon.
I struggle now more than ever to find the truth in that. That quote could actually be applied to any relationship in one's life. I think the writer meant that it is better to experience a love so deep and all that comes along with it, than to go through life clueless that such feelings exist. Everyone knows how to feel and experience love. When you open your heart to someone there are no boundaries, you are blind to the possibility of being hurt and you open the inner most depths of your soul to this overwhelming feeling. You cannot get enough of this person that you are magnatized to. It seems as though you have become one person and every thought that passes through your mind reflects upon your dreams and memories of this person. Your trust that thay will always be there is as niave and innocent as a childs trust. You come to the realization that the word "love" cannot even begin to express the feeling that you have inside. There are no words. Sometimes in life I believe that there are happy endings, where bonds are never broken and two people that became one will always be. Sometimes we have to let people go, even though you cant bear the thought of it. Sometimes we realize that the love grew and took over your heart based on mere dreams and fantasies. You have to look at your self in a mirror and realize that you are your own person again, just you. You feel like it would be easier to Preside over the entire country than make a decision to let someone go. Then when you finally do you feel empty, lost, numb and know you will never be the same again. I believe now that I would rather not know that such feelings exist than feel the pain of losing your one and only true love.
